Concertgoers are given a unique opportunity to enrich their musical experience by attending a presentation by Peter Jaffe, Music Director and Conductor of the Stockton Symphony, just prior to the Feature  Series concerts at 7:15 (Thursdays) and 5:15 (Saturdays). Maestro Jaffe provides a preview of what to anticipate in the evening’s selections, often illustrating on the piano.

Experts share their passion and knowledge 

 

 

 

STEPPIN' OUT  (per concert) $4,000

This concert for 4th and 5th grade students will be offered at 2 venues: Stockton's Atherton Auditorium on November 1, 2007 and Lodi’s Hutchins Street Square on November 2, 2007. Each day will have two concert times, 9:15am and 10:45am.  The specially designed performance for young audiences is themed “Sonic Adventures” for the 2007.  It is conducted and narrated by Peter Jaffe. A recording and activity newspaper is offered to all participating groups.

FAMILY CONCERT SERIES  $25,000

             

Let the sound of music delight you and your whole family as the Stockton Symphony takes its show on the road for this series of concerts throughout San Joaquin County. Children are encouraged to attend with their parents at these performances. “Instrument Petting Zoo” is part of every concert, an opportunity for everyone to hear and try individual musical instruments. This year's family concerts will feature Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra and the winner of our annual Young Artists Concerto Competition.
